Biomethane, a renewable substitute to natural gas, is a key lever toface climate change, energy scarcityand dependency and other modern society challenges like waste management, renewable energy production, air pollution. Air Liquide is committed to supporting biogas producers, to enhance the value created by Anaerobic Digestion plants. The Group develops global solutions for theenhancement of biogas.

Thanks to the development of several technological bricks, including the CO2 separation membranes, these solutions enable the upgrading of all biogases for subsequent injection into the natural gas grid, the production of vehicle fuel (compressed or liquefied natural gas or biogas), the production of renewable hydrogen from liquid biomethane.
