Helium liquefier - HELIAL

HELIAL helium liquefiers

The HELIAL range of standard helium liquefiers

Key Figures

The HELIAL range of standard helium liquefiers has a refrigeration capacity of 4.5 K. To reach that temperature, the HELIAL refrigerator uses helium, the gas that is the coldest in its liquid state. Refrigeration is vital for testing satellites in conditions of interstellar vacuum. HELIAL is an easy-to-use, turnkey liquefaction system for the recovery of helium from storage tanks in liquid form. N.B: The liquefiers are all fitted with static gas-bearing turbines, lubricated screw compressors, and heat exchangers, but they are all adapted to the client and the application.

  • 300,000revolutions per minute
  • 150,000hours: a record mean time between failures (MTBF)

MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY
HELIAL SL 45 to 55 kW 15 to 25 L/h 30 to 50 L/h 1 kW/(L/h)
HELIAL ML 75 to 132 kW 35 to 70 L/h 75 to 150 L/h 0,9 kW/(L/h)
HELIAL LL 160 to 250 kW 110 to 145 L/h 215 to 330 L/h 0,8 kW/(L/h)

Every HELIAL boasts integrated oil removal and cycle pressure management. It includes nitrogen pre-cooling. The air- or water-cooled compressor is automated, as is the system cooling, and the liquefier’s nominal operating conditions and shut-down. The cool box includes the instrumentation and control system with a touch screen and an electrical cabinet.
